Vanessa Eskridge
No Mean City: Baltimore 1966
Stage Director
After performing in Dan’s last two plays, Vanessa is thrilled to step into the director’s chair for No Mean City. She is the founder of Manor Mill Playhouse, a new theater company in northern Baltimore County, where she has produced and directed successful runs of Our Town and Shorts.
Most recently, she directed and produced the fall production of Murder on the Orient Express. Vanessa honed her directing and producing skills first in television production in New York City and then in public radio production in Baltimore, where she connected with Dan while producing his WYPR show Midday with Dan Rodricks.
Working on this production is both an honor and a delight. She believes theater is a vital salve in times when we look to the arts for guidance and truth. Huge thanks to Dan, the incredible cast, and the entire production team — and always to her loving family, Kevin, Cooper, Ivy, and Violet.
