Vanessa Eskridge
Vanessa is thrilled to be an original cast member of Baltimore, You Have No Idea and to return to the show for its final run. She recently directed and produced a hit production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with Manor Mill Playhouse, a theater company in northern Baltimore County that she founded in 2024.
After first meeting Dan while producing his WYPR show Midday with Dan Rodricks, she has had the honor of appearing in Baltimore, You Have No Idea and Baltimore Docket which she also co-directing. She directing his celebrated play No Mean City: Baltimore 1966 last spring. Other directing credits include Our Town and Murder on the Orient Express (Manor Mill Playhouse) and she has acted with various local Baltimore theater companies.
Bringing this show to life again is both an honor and a delight. She believes that theater is a vital salve in times when we look to the arts for guidance and truth. She is grateful to Dan for bringing her on at the beginning (and letting her stick around) and the whole BYHNI team. She thanks her supportive family, her awesome kids Cooper, Ivy and Violet and a special thanks to her leading man, Kevin. “Calgon, take me away!"
